The BUG JAM
BUG JAM is one of the largest Volkswagen only shows in the United States. What began 17 years ago as a local VW show with 65 VWs in attendance has blossomed into an annual event that draws people from all over the world! Bug Jam 2004 took place at the Pasco County Fairgrounds in Dade City, Florida on November 14th. We had 436 show entries!
Who Benefits From Bug Jam?
All proceeds from Florida BUG JAM Inc's concession booths go to local charities. Our primary charity is ALL CHILDREN'S' HOSPITAL (ACH). Suncoast Harvest Food Bank benefits from the food we collect. We also donate goods to Ronald McDonald House, Pasco/Hernando Hospice, St. Judes Children's Research Hospital and more. We are a non profit 501c3 corporation formed to raise money for charity. What do we get out of it? A feeling of pride that we helped someone in need. The show is held to raise money and awareness for children with special medical needs and to celebrate the funny little car we call the bug, including all his family!
The Land O' Lakes High School band benefits from the parking.
The Pasco County Fair Association also donates to All Chidren's Hospital and has it's own group of charities.
Our Volunteers:
Believe it or not, but many volunteers spend ALL YEAR long working on the annual Bug Jam event. It takes a lot of hard work lining up sponsors, printing up and mailing thousands of flyers, securing the show site, arranging for food, bathrooms, stage, entertainment, sound equipment, prizes, trophies, games, etc Show your appreciation by registering early!
